HP Names New Leader of Enterprise Services

FRANKFURT, Germany -- HP today announced it has appointed Mike Nefkens as executive vice president of HP Enterprise Services, effective immediately. Nefkens has served as interim lead of Global Enterprise Services since August 2012.
Nefkens will be responsible for driving growth in HP Enterprise Services, which delivers IT outsourcing, managed cloud, applications and business process services. He also will become a member of the company’s Executive Council, reporting directly to Meg Whitman, HP president and chief executive officer.
“Mike has led some of our most successful account turnarounds and has already had a very positive impact on the business,” said Whitman. “I’m confident in Mike’s ability to build our services business and contribute to HP’s long-term goals.”
Nefkens joined EDS in 2001, and has led the Industrial Manufacturing and Energy teams, the General Motors account and—for the last three years—the Europe, Middle East and Africa region business.
Prior to joining EDS, he spent 10 years with Holland Chemical International NV. There he held several executive positions including regional president and general manager in Mexico, Nicaragua, Venezuela and the Western United States.
Nefkens holds a Master of Business Administration from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a finance degree from Texas Christian University.
